Metinvest-SMC (Service Metal Centres) is the largest retail steel trader in Ukraine (according to the results of 2007). The company performs sales of the steel products of Metinvest made as well as manufactured by other steel producers in Ukraine and CIS.
The secured inventory in stock at company’s metal bases Ukraine-wide exceeds 100 thousand tonnes. The company’s sale mix comprises over 965 types of steel rolled products.
Metinvest-SMC operates 11 steel service centres situated in different regions of Ukraine and envisages establishing of 5 new ones in the nearest future.
The company’s service kit includes: cutting, bundling and transportation of bundles to the customer gates.
In February 2008 Metinvest-SMC has registered the first service-centre outside Ukraine – in Serbian Belgrade. It will perform deliveries of rolled products from Ukrainian enterprises of Metinvest Group to the clients in the countries of the Balkan Peninsula. The company is also envisaging establishing metal service centres in Russia.
