Dokuchayevsk flux and dolomite plant

The company mines and processes ordinary and dolomitic limestone and dolomites. The finished products are consumed in steelmaking, chemical, food industries and in road construction.

The plant comprises four open pits, three crushing-processing factories, cyclical conveyor line and dolomite roasting plant.

Annual production capacity of the company is 9.2 mmtpy of extracted rock and 7.65 mmtpy of finished products.

Dokuchayevsk flux and dolomite plant employs over 3 thousand people.

Historical notice

The history of the company started in 1912 with the commencement of commercial development of Elenovskoye deposit to supply dolomite and limestone to Petrovsky Iron and Steel Works (presently, Yenakievo Steel).

The first crushing and processing unit was commissioned in 1933. In 1950 production capacity of the plant reached 2 mmtpy.

In 1962 Elenovskaya mining company was transformed into Dokuchayevsk flux and dolomite plant.

The company kept developing: in 1962 new crushing-processing unit No. 2 and dolomite roasting plant came on stream, 1976 was the year of crushing-processing unit No. 3 commissioning. In 1990 cyclical conveyer transportation line started operating in the Central pit.
