Coal and coke division of METINVEST HOLDING unites the companies leading in coal mining and coke and chemicals production. These are the Coal mining company “Krasnodoncoal” and Avdeyevka coke and chemicals plant as a part of the division.
On April, 30th, 2009 a US based metallurgical coal mining company United Coal Company has joined the Division. The UCC is ranked 6th among sixth among U.S. metallurgical coal producers.
Coal and coke division is headed and managed by Vladimir Gusak, Director of the division.
Strategic development of the division is aimed towards the increasing of coke production and sales volumes.
These objectives will be met through the usage of high quality coal, investments into improvement of coal processing efficiency, labour safety and introduction of up-to-date energy saving and environmental protection technologies.
